My name is Alexander Kristiansen and I come from the west coast of Norway. I have been hunting as long as I can remember and I have been competing with dogs for about the last 18-19 years. I have been judging field trials for the last 4 years and water trials for the last 15 years. I am also at the board of water trials, (Dommerutvalg for kombinertprøver) the organization educating the water trial judges in Norway. For many years I have been producing hunting films like “Rypejakt med Ingvar Rødsjø”, “Den komplette fuglehund 1 & 2”, “Drømmejakten» and “Jaktgal med Arild Dahl“ which was partially shot here on Iceland. We filmed goose hunting and grouse in the mountains. My best memory from competing with pointing dogs is from 2008 when I became Norwegian champion with the german wirehaired pointer Indie, together with the german wirehaired team. I also have a kennel in Norway called Rypesteggens, which has bred many german short haired pointerchampion titles and also to Norwegian champions.
